A DANGEROUS JOB

Burial Boys of Ebola

More than 3,000 people have died so far from the Ebola virus outbreak in West Africa, with experts warning that up to 1.4 million could be infected before it’s brought under control.
A group of boys in Sierra Leone do the job nobody wants to do.

  1. What did these boys use to do before the outbreak of ebola?
  2. What charities and organizations train and support the team?
  3.  Do they get paid for doing the job?
  4. Why is one of them having to sleep in a store room?
  5. Why does one of the boys say he is a soldier?

This week we will be talking about some dangerous jobs. Here is another one not many people would be willing to do. Would you?

  1. What is the name of the bridge?
  2. How long is it? What other facts do we learn about the bridge ?
  3. How long does it take to paint the bridge?
  4. What test do potential workers have to pass before they can get the job?
  5. How many workers have died on the job?
  6. What famous landmark can be seen from the top?
  7. What do they wear to protect themselves?
